Denmo Ibrahim is an Egyptian-American actor and playwright.

Denmo Ibrahim is an award-winning Egyptian-American actor and playwright. Her work has been generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Zellerbach Family Foundation, Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation, and Theatre Bay Area. Her plays Rabbit Causes Dog and BABA won the award for Best Original Script by San Francisco Fringe and San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle Award, respectively. Her work has been produced by New York Theatre Workshop, Under St. Marks, Playwrights’ Center, Noor Theatre, Golden Thread, EXIT, Alter Theatre, Shotgun Players, and Zawaya. Denmo holds an MFA in Lecoq-based Actor Created Physical Theater from Naropa University and a BFA in Acting from Boston University. Denmo is a founding artistic director of Mugwumpin and a resident artist of Golden Thread.

These multidisciplinary artists create diverse projects in all senses of the word, broadening our idea of what theatre can and should be.
