Elizabeth Doud (she/her) is a theatre artist, writer, organizer, and educator who works extensively in international exchange and climate arts. She co-created Climakaze Miami with FUNDarte in 2015, an annual climate performance platform, led the Performing Americas Program of the National Performance Network from 2005–18, and holds a PhD in performing arts from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil. She was a 2017 visiting professor at the Rapoport Center for Human Rights at UT Austin, and received a 2018 Miami Knight Foundation Challenge grant. Her most recent premiere of ecoperformance is entitled Mermaid Truth or Consequences: A Biodiversity Gameshow. She is the curator of performance at the Ringling Museum of Art. sirenjones.com.

There is a long history of performance entwining with environmental activism in Brazil. This series builds upon the HowlRound series and convening, Theatre in the Age of Climate Change, to highlight some of these Brazillan performances, research, and training initiatives.
