Playwright Lauren Gunderson presented a conversation Dramaturgs + Playwrights - Lauren and Martine Greene-Rogers talk livestreaming on the global, commons-based, peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Tuesday 14 April 2020 at 12:05 p.m. PDT (San Francisco, UTC-7) / 2:05 p.m. CDT (Chicago, UTC-5) / 3:05 p.m. EDT (New York, UTC-4).
What is a dramaturg? What do they do? How do playwrights work with them? How awesome and perfect can they possibly be?
Martine Kei Green-Rogers, PhD is President of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA), a teacher, a writer, and has worked in the biggest theaters in the nation. I know her because she dramaturged my THE BOOK OF WILL at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is a treasure and I'm so honored she'll be joining us to talk.
